Chanheung Min

Chanheung Min was born in Korea in 2000 and started playing the cello at the age of 7. He studied at the Korea National Institute for Gifted in Arts and the Korea National University of Arts with Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi and Kang-ho Lee. He has been a student of Troels Svane at the Musikhochschule Lübeck since 2023.
He was the youngest participant to qualify for the Isang-Yun Competition at the age of 14 and has also won prizes in competitions such as the David Popper International Cello Competition, the Busan Music Competition, the Sung-Jung National Music Contest and the Yewon Music Competition.
He has performed at the Kirishima International Festival and the Cello Akademie Rutesheim. He gave recitals in KNUA series and at the Kumho Art Hall. Among the ensembles he has performed with are the Busan Philharmonic Orchestra, TIMF Orchestra and Sung Jung Trio.
