Roman Lopatynskyi

Roman Lopatynskyi was born in 1993 in Kyiv. As a laureate of over 20 international piano competitions, such as the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition, the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition in Bolzano, the International Competition for Young Pianists in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz in Kyiv, the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition, he is one of Ukraine’s most prominent and aspiring young pianists. Roman Lopatynskyi is a member of the Heidelberg Festival Academy 2017.
He is a regular guest at renowned international concert halls and festivals such as Ginza Tokyo Hall, Steinway Hall in New York, the Mariinsky International Piano Festival in St. Petersburg, the Next Generation Classic Festival in Bad Ragaz, the Musikfestival Heidelberger Frühling and has successfully collaborated with the National Symphony Orchestra and the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern, the Orchestra dell’Arena di Verona and the Filarmonica del Teatro Comunale di Bologna. He has also made debuts at the Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna.
