Asaka Murayama (Miyoshi)

Asaka Murayama (Miyoshi) was born in 1994 in Japan. She is currently studying with Jacques Rouvier at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and with Leonid Margarius at the Imola International Piano Academy. She also studied with Yu Kakuno at the Tokyo University of the Arts.
She won 1st prize and special jury prize at the Rachmaninov International Youth Piano Competition in Moscow, 3rd prize at the PTNA Piano Competition, 2nd prize in the professional division at the International Chopin Piano Competition in Asia, 3rd prize at the Kitamoto Piano Competition, 1st prize at the France Music Competition, 2nd prize at the Sakai International Piano Competition. She was also a finalist at the International Chopin Piano Competition, a semi-finalist at the Orbetello Piano Competition in Italy, and a semi-finalist at the Lyon International Piano Competition in France. She has a diploma from the International Chopin Piano Competition in Poland and a special honorary diploma from the Euregio Piano Award in Germany.
She has performed in various concerts and recital series in Japan with Osaka Symphony Orchestra, Chiba New Town Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Geidai Philharmonia, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and Okayama Philharmonic Orchestra.
