Darius Preuss

Darius Preuss was born in 2004 as the third child of Persian-German parents. He began his studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in the Pre-College Cologne with Professor Ute Hasenauer.
Since his early childhood, he has performed in public as a soloist with the Herne Symphony Orchestra, the Jugendorchester Bochum, the Camerata Louis Spohr, the Bergische Symphoniker and the Neue Philharmonie Westfalen.
He has been invited to perform as a soloist in various renowned concert halls in Germany, such as the Kölner Philharmonie, the Anneliese Brost Musikforum Ruhr, the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg and many more.
He participated in masterclasses and personal meetings with Patinka Kopec, Arabella Steinbacher and Zakhar Bron, which had a great influence on him.
Darius Preuss plays on a 1739 Camillus Camilli violin, generously loaned by a member of the Stretton Society initiated by Stephan Jansen.
