Jeri Lee

Born in 2009, South Korean cellist Jeri Lee is a pre-college student at the Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Arts, studying with Kangho Lee. She is a first prize winner of numerous international competitions, including the 2022 YSAYE International Junior Competition, the 2022 London Concerto Competition, the 2021 Gustav Mahler Prize Cello Competition, the 2021 Ise-Shima International String Competition, the 2020 France Music Competition, and the 2019 David Popper International Cello Competition. She recently won 3rd prize at the 2023 Chieti Classica Music Competition in Italy in the category under 35.
She made her debut at the Seoul Arts Center with the Korean Chamber Orchestra and has since then performed in prestigious halls such as Steinway Hall, Carnegie Hall in New York and Suntory Hall in Tokyo. She has received the Korean Minister’s Award of Culture for her volunteer work in hospitals, fire stations and other places where classical music is less accessible. She has also performed with the London City Philharmonic, Kyiv Virtuosi, Seoul Virtuosi, Yewon Chamber Orchestra and Choongchung Philharmonic.
