Yubin Kim

SOUTH KOREA

Violinist Yubin Kim received her Master’s degree from Rice University. She is currently in the first year of the Artist Diploma (AD) programme at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University. She was awarded a full scholarship and fellowship under the tutelage of Paul Kantor. Yubin Kim was a finalist in the Shepherd School of Music Concerto Competition and served as concertmaster of the Shepherd School of Music Orchestra. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Yonsei University in South Korea and won numerous competitions during her studies, including the Korea Music Association Concours and the Music Education News Concours. She won the Grand prize at the Eumak Journal Competition and was awarded a Pierre Guillaume bow. Yubin Kim participated in the Verbier Festival in 2023 and is also a fellow of the Verbier Festival in 2024.
