Serena Fantini

Serena Fantini was born in 2003 in Rimini, Italy. She began her cello studies at the age of 6 in the CMI Suzuki course and continued in 2013 with Professor Marianne Chen at the Instituto Musicale Pareggiato Vecchi-Tonelli in Modena. From 2019 to 2021 she attended the class of Hannah Eichberg at the Julius Stern Institute of the Universität der Künste Berlin.
She is currently studying for her Bachelor’s degree at the Barenboim-Said Akademie Berlin in the class of Professor Frans Helmerson. Serena Fantini has won prizes in numerous competitions, including the International Young Talent Music Competition Belgium, the Giovani Talenti Femminili della Musica Competition, the Mazzacurati Competition and the Antonio Janigro Junior International Competition. She also received the Maura Giorgetti scholarship of the Filarmonica della Scala and the Premio Nazionale delle Arti. She has participated in festivals such as the Zephyr International Chamber Music Festival and in masterclasses and concerts at the Kronberg Academy. She has performed with orchestras such as the European Union Youth Orchestra and Spira Mirabilis.
