Xuanhan Xu

Born in 2004, Xuanhan Xu began her studies at the age of 13 at the Hochschule für Musik in Saar, Germany, where she studied with Professor Gustav Rivinius. At the age of 16, she began her Bachelor’s degree at the same institution. She has performed as a soloist in numerous concerts in China, Japan, Germany and Spain and has won several competitions such as the 5th David Popper International Cello Competition, the 2020 Pablo Casals International Award and the 2023 Chieti Classica International Cello Competition. Since 2024 she is a scholarship holder of the German Musical Instrument Fund. She has participated in music festivals such as Lumières d’Europe, Ljubljana Festival and several masterclasses with David Geringas, Jian Wang, Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, Gary Hoffman and Jens Peter Maintz.
