Yuchan Lee

Yuchan Lee was born in South Korea in 2003. He started playing the cello at the age of 8. In 2020, at the age of 15, he was admitted to the Korea National University of Arts, where he began his Bachelor’s degree with Professors Kangho Lee and Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi.
He recently won 2nd prize at the Busan Music Competition and 1st prize at the Korean Chamber Orchestra Music Competition. He also won 1st prize at the Music Association of Korea Competition, Grand prize at the Korean Arts Association Assessment Concours, and Grand prize at the Music Education News Concours. In 2016, he made his debut with the ChungNam Philharmonic Orchestra in Gongju, Korea.
Recently, he successfully performed Haydn’s Cello Concerto in D Major with the JVF Chamber Orchestra at the Just Vivace Festival Final Winner Concert after winning the competition. He also gave a solo recital at Kukje Art Hall in Seoul.
