Yangrui Cai

Born in November 2000, Chinese pianist Yangrui Cai began studying the piano at the age of 4. Since then, he has won top prizes at major national competitions in China. In recent years, he has won prizes at major international competitions such as the 7th Sendai International Music Competition in Japan and the 2021 Sydney International Piano Competition. Recently, Yangrui Cai was awarded 4th prize at the 2023 Ljubljana Festival International Piano Competition in Slovenia and 1st prize at the 2023 Japan Piano Open International Piano Competition.
A graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in the USA, Yangrui Cai is now studying at the Park University International Center for Music under Professor Stanislav Ioudenitch. His previous teachers include Vivian Li and Jay Sun.
