Alexis Roussine

Born in 1995, Alexis Roussine is a French-Russian violinist. Coming from a family of musicians, he began studying the violin with his father, Miroslav Roussine. He went on to study with Galina Turchaninova in Moscow and Larissa Kolos in Paris. His main mentor in recent years has been Boris Belkin. Alexis Roussine is the winner of several international competitions. A versatile musician, he was also first violinist and one of the founding members of the Malevich Quintet. The ensemble studied with Henk Guittart (violist of the Schoenberg Quartet) at the Conservatorium Maastricht and received a special prize at the Freedom Chamber Music Festival (Netherlands) in 2015. Alexis Roussine is currently active as an orchestral musician with orchestras such as the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège and the Solistes Européens Luxembourg.
