Ilia Iashin

Ilia Iashin was born in Moscow into a family of musicians. He is studying at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory in the classes of Igor Bobovitch and Andrey Spiridonov, and will begin the academic year 2024 as a student at the International Menuhin Music Academy (Switzerland) in the classes of Clemens Hagen and Lionel Cottet.
He has taken part in masterclasses with many famous cellists, including David Geringas, Ivan Monighetti, Danjulo Ishizaka, Wolfgang Emmanuel Schmidt, Johannes Moser, Boris Andrianov, Justus Grimm, Alexey Zhilin.
He has performed as a soloist with the Concert Symphony Orchestra of the Moscow State Conservatory and Vladimir Jurowski, the Baroque Orchestra, the Terra Incognita Orchestra, the Tchaikovsky Chamber Orchestra, the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Rakhmadiev and many other ensembles in Russia and abroad.
Ilia Iashin plays on a cello by the French luthier Honoré Derazey, provided by the von Meck Foundation.
