Keiichiro Ikebe

Keiichiro Ikebe is a Japanese pianist, born in Fukuoka, Japan in 1993. He has won prizes in numerous competitions, including the 4th prize at the 3rd Shigeru Kawai International Piano Competition in 2019, the 2017 Steinway Förderpreis Klassik in Munich, the 1st prize at the 2022 Gasteig Music Prize Competition. In 2021 he was selected as a semi-finalist in the 71st Viotti International Music Competition.
He is actively performing in solo and chamber music concerts in Germany and Japan, including a concert with the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra.
Keiichiro Ikebe received his Bachelor’s degree in piano performance from the Tokyo University of the Arts, and his Master’s degree and Meisterklasse from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich.
He studied piano with Michael Schäfer, Akira Eguchi, Michiko Ohno, Yukio Yokoyama, Maki Yasumura, Kaoru Takahashi and chamber music with Silke Avenhaus, Yuya Tsuda, Shohei Uwamori.
