Masaki Morishita

JAPAN
July 24, 2001

Masaki Morishita began his musical career at the Toho Gakuen Music High School in Japan under the guidance of Yumino Toyoda. He went on to explore chamber music repertoires, especially string quartets, with masters such as Nobuko Yamazaki, Kazuhide Isomura and Kazuoki Fujii. At the age of 16, his ensemble was selected to participate in high-level concerts, becoming the youngest group to participate in these prestigious events.
In 2020 he entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he studied with Olivier Charlier and Joanna Matkowska. He is currently studying for a Master’s degree at the same institution with Olivier Charlier, Pierre Fouchenneret and Mi-Sa Yang.
Masaki Morishita has also expanded his repertoire to include contemporary works, notably with Hae-Sun Kang. In 2024, he was selected for the Academie Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France at the Radio France Occitanie Montpellier Festival.
