Seina Matsuoka

After graduating from SOAI University, Seina Matsuoka moved to Europe in 2017 and is currently enrolled at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien.
In 2023, she won 1st prize and three special prizes at the 2nd Karol Szymanowski International Music Competition. As Aka Duo with pianist Yuto Kiguchi, they won 1st prize and a special prize at the 17th International Chamber Music Competition Città di Pinerolo e Torino, as well as 1st prize and three special prizes in the chamber music category at the 3rd International Competition of Polish Music. Previously, she won prizes at the Fritz Kreisler International Competition, the International Music Competition VŠMU and the Sendai International Music Competition.
She has performed as a soloist with Japanese orchestras, Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra and Sinfonia Varsovia in Europa. She studied violin with Machie Oguri, Michael Frischenschlager and Peter Schuhmayer as well as chamber music with Stefan Mendl.
