Chinese-American violinist Sarah Ying Ma is hailed for “a radiant innocence at a fierce pace” (Epoch Times). She has been selected for APM’s prestigious 2024 Performance Today Young Artist Residency. She was also awarded 2nd prize as the youngest competitor at the 2023 Dallas International Violin Competition. Sarah Ying Ma has performed internationally as a soloist with orchestras such as Ensemble 212, Dallas Chamber Symphony, Accademia d’Archi Arrigoni and others. She has been a fellow of the Heifetz International Music Institute, Kneisel Hall and the Aspen Music Festival. She is a founding member of the Poiesis Quartet, which has recently been managed by Concert Artists Guild, and is the Grand Prize Winner of the 2023 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. They are quartet in residence at the University of Cincinnati, studying with the Ariel Quartet.
