Eva Arderius

Eva Arderius was born in 2001 in San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Spain). Since 2018 she has been studying at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid with Professor Jens Peter Maintz.
She began playing the cello at the age of 5 and continued her studies at the Centro Integrado de Música Padre Antonio Soler, graduating with honours in 2018. She also studied with María de Macedo. She has attended masterclasses with Gary Hoffman, Frans Helmerson, Marc Coppey, Torleif Thedéen, Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, among others.
She was awarded 1st prize at the Jaime Dobato Benavente (2014) and Soncello (2015) national competitions, 2nd prize at the 7th David Popper International Cello Competition (Hungary, 2017), 1st prize at the Competition of Jeunesses Musicales Spain (2024), and the 1st prize at the María Herrero International Cello Competition (2024).
In 2022 she performed in the Rising Generation series of Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía at the National Music Auditorium in Madrid, and in 2023 she performed as soloist with the Orquesta de Extremadura. She has performed in concert halls such as Teatro Real Madrid, Reduta Concert Hall Bratislava, Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music Budapest and Musikverein Vienna.
