19-year-old Jizheng Fang is currently completing his Bachelor’s degree in Cello Performance at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin with Professor Claudio Bohórquez. He has won many prizes, including 1st prize at the Geneva Junior Music Competition, the 12th Savshinsky International Music Competition in St. Petersburg, the International Klaipėda Cello Competition in Lithuania, the 20th International Music Competition in Llanes, Spain, and the 12th Antonio Janigro International Cello Competition. Jizheng Fang participated in the International Masterclasses Oberstdorf, where he studied with Wen-Sinn Yang. He also participated in the masterclasses of Danjulo Ishizaka and Arto Noras in 2016-2019 and 2022 at the Cello Akademie Rutesheim and performed in the final concert. He has also attended masterclasses by Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, Wang Jian and others, from which he has benefited greatly.
